Three sources of "scam" discussion
We've tracked all public negative discussion over recent years and grouped it into three categories — and we respond to each directly.
- **Counterfeit circulation** — Third-party sellers on Taobao, Amazon, eBay sell "Pyunkang-Hwan" products that are not authorised. Some are high-fidelity package copies, some have entirely different ingredients. Buyers receive product, see no benefit (or experience side effects), and naturally leave negative reviews — but those products are not actual Pyunkang-Hwan.
- **Expectation gap** — Pyunkang-Hwan is a constitutional formula with a 3-month observation cycle, and we don't claim to "treat" any disease. Some users expect 1–2 week onset or complete symptom resolution — when reality differs, they label it "didn't work" or "scam." We state the timeline clearly in all official communication, but information gaps persist.
- **Competitor smearing** — Korea's domestic supplement market is highly competitive. Some competitors deliberately seed negative content about Pyunkang-Hwan in Chinese-language communities. These messages typically lack specific evidence and unverifiable customer identities.

How to identify a genuine product
If you did not buy from pyunkang.us and have received something marketed as "Pyunkang-Hwan," verify these 5 points:
- **Packaging:** authentic product is a dark brown glass bottle in a white hard-paper outer box; printing is fine and clean. The box carries trilingual labelling in Korean (편강환), English (Pyunkang-Hwan), and Chinese (扁康丸).
- **Batch number:** every bottle's outer packaging side prints a batch number (format: YYYYMMDD-XXX) and expiration (MFG/EXP). Email the batch number to [email protected] — we'll confirm authenticity and provide the test report within 24 hours.
- **Capsule appearance:** 0.5g spherical dark brown pellets, smooth surface, no visible coarse particles. The aroma is mildly herbal — **no harsh smell** (if the smell is harsh or capsule sizes vary, do not consume).
- **Ingredient labelling:** authentic packaging lists the full 20+ botanical names with Latin scientific names (Platycodon, Schisandra, Ophiopogon, Morus, Aster…). Vague labels reading only "natural herbal extract" indicate a counterfeit.
- **Pricing:** authentic price is USD $500 per bottle (60 capsules), globally consistent with no discounts (occasional pyunkang.us member rebates excepted). "Half-price Pyunkang-Hwan" or "$50 special Pyunkang-Hwan" on Taobao or Amazon is **100% counterfeit or fake**.
How to report piracy / counterfeits
If you find third-party platforms selling counterfeit Pyunkang-Hwan, or received product with quality concerns, please email **[email protected]** and include: 1) the seller link or shop name, 2) photos of the product (packaging + capsule close-up), 3) order number or receipt screenshot.

Why the price is uniform USD $500, with no discount
